This slideshow introduces an inspiring practice from Portugal: a summer camp, organised in a school makes it possible for children and young people with intellectional disabilities to engage with other children, and also for their parents to have a small break from their care responsibilities. This is a great example of a formal education provider, a school, opening their doors to host non-formal education for the local community. This is how schools can become community learning hubs.
