Based on the outcomes of research leading to the Conceptual Framework on Education for Democracy in the Democrat project, the first policy brief has been published. It embraced two main elements that Parents International has been advocating for the necessity of:

• not tackling education for democracy or citizenship education as a subject, but making it part and parcel of every aspect of school life
• boosting democratic skills of teachers by training and other support to avoid teaching something they don’t know or have.
